That wonderful shot of "gone bananas" would look great as my new desktop wallpaper if that's okay with you?
    Great shots and very inventive.

Do you do this just for fun or do you do it as a career?

Thanks gmstuff, 1950ChevySuburban, Miguel, magoozi, 1977IHLoadstar and Rick! Very much appreciated. Lots and lots more to come over the next few days and weeks.

I am not sure if this is OT or PC or ??? but this car was remarkable - more attention to paint and other detail then I think I've seen ever.

Both. It is not my full time gig, but I do sell quite a few prints, get paid for photo shoots and so forth. Mostly I am just an addict.

Dan, Great pics! Keep em coming.

Question - On post #1, the early Boyd 32's in the center are Bob & Sharon Kolmos' cars. I don't think Bob is very internet savvy - ok if I print him a copy? He barely made it to the GNRS after a bad accident, so I'm sure this would cheer him up. NP if you say no.....

I parked next to the Winfield "gone Bananas" on Saturday. Great shot of a great car. The guy said he just got it, fresh paint and all from Gene. Pinstriper was doing some final touches Saturday night when I left. He says it's going back to Japan with him in a couple months. I told him the streets were too narrow back there, so he should store it in my garage!

Did by chance get a shot of the POS 39 Chevy next to it?

Thanks so much everyone. Those of you that had questions - I will pm you.

Here is a car that had a really cool Caddy flathead V8 in it. I never did find out what this one was, but if anyone knows I would love to know. I tried a vintage looking treatment as well as B&W.

Amazing work. If I hadn't seen in person the cars you shot I'd swear your photos were fake! In a good way.

Man, you've got talent. Subscribed, can't wait to see more.

  26. Dan you are da man!

Maybe the pics are manipulated a bit in PS, but without the eye for framing and light in the original shots, I doubt the final result would be near as good.

I am now motivated to turn some more hairs grey as I attempt to master the art of manipulating pictures using PS. My guarantee is I will be much slower and my images nowhere near as classy as you have displayed here.

    Please keep 'em coming.

Wow, pretty cool. You must have been working 24/7 since the show to do all of those. Looks like a hell of a lot of work. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks again guys! Carps - I look forward to seeing what you come up with. You are entirely right about getting a decent shot to start with. All the manipulation in the world won't make a badly framed, horribly lit photo worth a damn. I encourage you (and everyone else) to use RAW when you have it available on your camera. With some of the extreme conditions you will encounter at some events, jpegs are often unsavable.

So lets get today rolling with this satin brown 35 Plymouth.
