Here's a little car I saw scooting around during the Car-D-Lane thing last Friday evening. Woulda liked to take it home but it wouldn't quite fit in the bed of my pickup. Besides, it never stopped. Sounds like a straight 6.

I'm too busy thinking about the box itself, that pretty much keeps me occupied for most of my waking hours.

That little Bantam is powered by a Mazda rotary.

Here's what that car started out as.[IMG]

And here I thought that car was a shortened up Model A four door. Neat car, not THAT far out, it's no Lunar Lander. The GTO wagon is more common than you might think. In fact, in 71 and 72 you could order a station wagon from the factory with the GTO front clip on it, called the Endura option. I've seen a factory black 455 powered Endura optioned '71 four door hardtop once.

Mid-50s Nashes are extremely rare and cool looking. You KNOW we could do something with this little baby. Find a 2dr hardtop - if you can - and get to it.

Also, on the Willys sedan, here's a '53 that made it to the Roundup. Needs whitewalls something fierce..

Well, the attachment module isn't working, guess I'll have to share tomorrow.

I like desotos, not to popular, but i think the 59 desoto is one of the better looking cars of the era, and with a 345 horse Hemi! desotos are out of the box i guess.

    Ditto,
I had that down as a shortened sedan of some sort..... as for the factory weird stuff Chrysler down here was rumored to have done a Val station wagon with R/T hot multi carbed Hemi 6 and running gear..... but they were always pretty crap at their record keeping

I like the ebay car. It would make a very cool custom. As all other HAMBers already too many projects going on. I wonder what the reserve is at????????

Yea, I really like that thing too. I wish I had a place to put it until I had a chance to do something with it!

Something that original and straight is had to find these days.

  22. Actually there's a guy here in town that has a factory original like that one and has the build sheet to prove it. I guess it was an option package that Pontiac offered.

Probably more of those running around now than were ever built.

  23. Out of the box, to me, is taking the tiniest auto engine of the time, Crosley, and putting it in a rail.

I'll probably catch hell, but I think it less homely than a shoebox ford.

I dig kustoms that can really kick some ass. The Lenny Legere shoebox comes to mind. Canted quad headlights and typical kustom tricks, with a 8 carbed Hemi and slicks...badass

    I did some digging.

According to the VIN number, it is a Willys Wing, only 12819 produced in 52.
