    So it begins,

A few years ago at the age of 14, I was very fortunate to run across this chopped shoebox for sale in AUSTIN Texas. Just to prod my Dad I said in a joking manner, "Wouldn't that be cool to build on" his response was, "your crazy". About 2 weeks later the car was bought and found a new home in our home shop. Best Dad in the world, like EVER.

At the age of 17 now.
I have been working part time buying and selling parts and cars for the past few years to stock pile my money. Now I "kinda" have enough dough to throw around at the car. I have traveled around finding some key parts to make it a pre-62 Rod, 4 inch crank, 1957 ford 9", my Grandfathers 50 Mercury steering wheel thats been loaned to me. The list goes on and on. Honestly, I enjoyed the adventures with my Dad more than actually getting the parts I needed. Anyways..

I bought a solid 4dr shoebox for the frame, engine, and tranny. With the intention of swapping my chopped body onto a finished running, driving, stopping chassis. Thats what I am working towards now.

    Just a few pictures..

In the wee hours I started a welding project that turned into a fully fledged mini bike build.

Cool!! Hanging with your dad and old cars is the best. You're lucky, I just picked up my first shoe and I'm 21!

I worked with my dad on my first Shoebox, and I loved it. Just started my second, and he's mainly watching from the sidelines while he tinkers on his own project. You'll make some great memories, guaranteed.

Not to much progress. Shot some diesel down the cylinders the engine is free that is a plus!

Its an 8RT flathead or at least the heads are, kinda looks like somebody swapped a truck motor into this car awhile ago. Not to sure yet.
