    Custom100...KOOL fab work!

Well...this thread did it for me!.....:D...

I've been talkin' to Reno about this system since early 2009 and after
reading thru this thread...I picked up the phone and ordered everything I
    needed for our '56 Effie....

NOW I gotta get my ass is gear,... TCI MII IFS...No Limit Engineering
Fat Bar 4-Bar out back all on Firestone bags...

For the "notch" I picked up these pieces from Art Morrison to simplyfy things
just a little 'cause they are the same size as the rails...you can
order them bent either way...mine are mandrel bent the "the hard way"
as it says in the catalog...:D...

    putting together a build thread....

Did you mount the REAR sensors to the lower bar OR the upper
    on the 4-bar setup?.......

Looks like the upper...just wanted to make sure since yours came out so
    kool...THAT is a great idea....thanks man...REALLY nice work...

What size air tank are you using?....1 or 2 compressors?.....

I picked up the VIAIR 400C Dual Performance Value Pack and
    a 12-gallon tank BEFORE I sort of knew what I was doin'...now
I think I need to get a smaller tank...

    Thanks...sweet truck....howZ it doing.....

Hey Rockher_Man, I attached them to the upper bars yeah. It worked out great because you could only see them if you laid on the ground.

The airbags on that truck made it fun to drive again! With as simple as the e-Level is I could even let my wife drive it without worrying about her putting it at the right height.

Yeah, I'm talking about the truck in past tense because I sold it. I drove it and had a lot of fun with it, but I can't go to long without building something new so it had to go to fund the next one.

SWEET!....thats what we are hopin' for......

I ordered the Stage II kit minus the tank & compressors 'cause I
already had those....BUTT....like I said....this was before I did ALL
my homework and bought a damn 12-gallon tank!!!!

I was just wondering what size tank YOU used?....I think this TWELVE
gallon thing is gonna be TOO big....even with twin 400C compressors!....

Thanks again....too bad it had to go....now you can get started on the
    next one....

    rockher_man,

Yeah, in my opinion the 12 gallon tank is too much. I had (2) 3 gallon tanks on my truck and it worked great. The thing that most people don't get about an air tank that big is it takes more then twice as long to build the pressure high enough to lift the truck. With my 6 gallons of tank volume the (2) 400C's would fill from 110 to 150 psi in about 50 seconds. it would take at least 2 minutes to get your 12 gallon tank back to 150.

Also not sure if you got an aluminum tank but steal tanks often cause issues with rust and debris because of the corrosion from the water that will get into them. I always use aluminum tanks on my airbagged vehicles.

Hope that helps you get it figured out. If you run into anything else feel free to ask and I'll answer anything I can.

Was anyone able to determine the color of custom100's truck?
