rbantique, that 58 watson t-bird is my favorite they've came out with. its so well detailed as all their cars are from danbury mint
I love toy cars. Even when you only have 5 or 10 bucks in your pocket, it is a thrill to walk into an old antique mall where most people are looking for wicker chairs, oil lamps or fiesta ware and discover a vintage well loved plastic or metal toy car pushed back to the rear of a shelf somewhere. I have a lot of neat old toy cars, and while many of them came from friends, family or my own childhood, a LOT of them were just flea market discovered, unloved and forgotten by their original young owners, quickly rescued and welcomed into my little collection where they could be loved once again...
damn all you guys.lol i barely can buy parts for our cars now. and now i have a new craving., all the old car toys i can find.i fell in love with all these old car toys so today and sunday im going to all the flea markets and antique stores i can find. and around here they are everywhere. i dont know how my wifes gonna take this new addiction but i think my grandson is gonna love it.lol thanks alot guys.lololol
Yup,those old toys bring back fond memories. Man, I spent countless hours playing with toy cars and, later, building models. Here's a survivor from high school days.
Check eBay, there is or was one on this week. It was near mint condition and was around $40.00 I think. I just paid $45.00 for a yellow NYLINT Roadster at a small antique mall. That is the most I have ever paid for one, but it was mint perfect!
The Willys is white metal? I can't understand the dents and rust, then. Unless you've simulated them??
above it's a real barnfind, small things can be great, too..with adjustable steering and real strong friction drive private 'junkyard' this taildraggin' 49 Buick's just chinese crap, but still a Buick! The Jetsons arrived in this green "lucky-bag-whatever", but the real surprise underneath reads "340 km/h", after calling the SCTA they made me a life member in the famous 200mph club, it should make over 211....!! who's to prove? and a real bargain for only 10 cents...
Sorry, can you see 'em now? i made this album a public one.. i'm not a PC pro, you see... maybe if you reload
does this count, building a go kart to look like a 32 ford its not to scale lol, and obviously the engine is in the rear, but i wasnt sure how to make the front grill so its on hold
now these are great, who made them? love the headlights, looks like '37 Stude, like the one i'm watching on ebay for years. love to have it as my next project, but my bank clerk says i should finish my current ride first! damn..forgive him for he's not like us!
