The wheels will stay black and I still need to figure out what caps to run.

THIS '32 helped make the blue/black decision easy :)

  4. Looking great Malcom. Maybe I could bring the boys by to see it in person next time we visit Omaha. Will you be taking it to WOW this year? Hope we can make it.

    Malcomb,
That is some first class fab work, love the supports and the trunk floor. Not easy when you fit one place and fab another. Keep up the great work.

See you at Bonneville in the roadster???!!!

Mark, you guys are more than welcome to stop by when you are in town.
I'm doing this out of a one-car garage, so there's not a whole lot to see :)
Not sure if I'll have the Roadster at the Omaha World of Wheels in March.

Rex, thank you - this stuff is nothing compared to the fab work you did on your modified!
I do really hope to drive it to Bonneville in August...

Hope to see you there, Jason!

Seeing some of your parts painted sure helped make that decision easy! :)

Hahaha... YOU originally tossed the idea out there with a Photoshopped rendering. So - Thanks, Jeffrey! :)
(Those renderings aren't loading anymore... I think this was the blue one:

I looked at many colour schemes when I started my RPU.Never found anything to compare with W/Blue and black rims.Geat choice!
Rims will be finished off with '41 caps.

Got a little more done on the trunk floor tonight.
Still some shaping to do on the panel over the rear axle and cut an opening for the center-section. Will have to make a 'bump' to weld in after that.

It's been a while since I checked this thread. The car is coming along nicely. You're doing a great job. It'll be sweet when you get it done.

    Keep it up buddy!

Got some more work done on the trunk floor this weekend and also figured out a better way to support/mount the fuel tank and battery.

I adjusted the quarter-eliptical springs to raise the rear axle up and cut an opening for clearance

Made a template to fabricate a cover. Also, I cut out the tubing at the top of this photo, that I had originally planned on placing the fuel tank and battery on....

I then made 3/4" angle "frames" to place the fuel tank and battery in...
Sheet metal bottoms and brackets/straps to hold them in place will be the next project

Lots of finish welding to do, but it's getting there!
