What Kind Of Car Is This?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Scotch Buzzard King, Jan 31, 2012.

  1. I found this picture online today, and I'm curious: what kind of car is this circled in the picture?

Check the center vertical bar in the grill of the subject. It is diferent than the Chrysler. I am thinking Desoto.

I'm far, far from an expert... but just for fun, and without looking at any other sites, here's my guesses for cars in this pic, nearest to farthest:

    39 Studebaker?
    40 Chevy
    38 Chrysler
    40 Caddy
42 Chrysler with a 6-cyl motor (hood not long enough for an 8)

I'm probably wrong on at least half of those...

  14. All of you who said 1942 Chrysler, stand up and shout hooray for yourselves for getting it correct.
