  1. Nice , I've never seen a 53 with a rear window from a 49 before, and the packard lights are awesome too! I'm gonna put a shoebox window in my 53 :)

It was originally going to get a 50 Shoebox back glass but I was chopping a 49 at the same time.....the shoebox fit better in the 49 so that where it went!

The only pic I could find of the 49 (the yellow one) thats the 54 next to it

A very small update on mine from the last page. I pulled the misplaced spots/peep mirrows/skirts, ground out the white walls a bit, painted the wheels red(I know, I know....damn rat rod), and slapped on some caps I had hanging on the garage wall.

OldGold, Mind if I PM you, got a question you might be able to answer, don't want to dilute the thread too much?

Was looking for a builder project for a custom, found this 54 and fell in love, enjoyed it for a great Summer, knew I couldn't cut it up and ruin the patina, so sold it to persure building one again...amazing car.

this is right after I finished it-

And this is how I have it now. As soon as I can find an original set of Buick reverses I'll put WWW's on it again and set it in the weeds

    First post. Noob. Long-time lurker.

    My 54.

Just got a Mustang II put in and got it bagged. I'm a little concerned that it cambers so much when all the way down. Going to talk to the shop this weekend. I noticed most pics on bags don't camber as much. Should I worry? BTW, I'm new to all this...my first project.

bro I feel you in ways that words cant describe...

I have poured so much of myself into my 54 only to still be kinda eh about it, last week I had a dude with some deep pockets going for a ride in it because he was talking like he wanted it, Later I was seriously relieved that we couldn't work the deal out...

It's like having a crazy ol lady, she wears your nerves out but damn the sex is good...:D

btw JKustom, yours is the one Ian chopped right?

he did such a stellar job! makes me wish that I would have taken mine down one more inch...

yours is chopped perfect, just right.

mine, unless its parked next to a 53/4 doesnt look chopped, which I am cool with but I wouldn't argue with 1 more inch, but hell who would right?
