Here is my new 53 Belair my wife surprised me with a couple weeks ago(early christmas present)! Since all my other cars are pretty cut up and this one is so nice and stock, I am going to go more of the lowrider Bomb route with this one. Just not sure if I want to go with 15'' flipper caps/5.60's, skirts, bagged, etc.........or just lower it a little more and run some 14'' supremes/5.20's and no skirts. Either way, I am super stoked to have a Belair hardtop!

    Here's Mine,
She's my daily driver and her name is Golgotha, got her back in July this year from a friend. Stock motor, 3 on the tree, Torque Tube, and powerglide ring / pinion. She had been sitting in a garage for at least 10 years that I know of. Will be mild custom that I can drive anywhere anytime.

what's up rob, looks like what i'm working with. already went through two parts cars to find extra steel and stainless since the maroon one belonged to my pops back in the 80's/90's. He restored it and drove it around for a while. I sold it out of stupidity when he gave it to me in the late 90's and it basically ended up switching hands left and right til finally i found it on craigslist.

i removed all of the rusted body parts and need to make a trip to san anton to pick up a couple of doors i bought a while back. trailblazer trans took a crap on me but finally got it fixed and my wife's weekend intake shifts at the d.a.'s office and dwi task force don't help when i want to go out of town but stay home due to kids.

Your wife is awesome!and the car is very nice too.
A bomb should run steel wheels and caps imo. Sure, there are very nice bomb style cars runnin on mags or wire wheels, specially Daytons, but to me the nicest bombs run caps.
Thumbs up for the no skirts idea!

I think both his brothers have similar (GREAT) wives also. Maybe they should be a traveling trio of lecturers on proper wife selection (SUPPORTING OF THE CAR HABIT). I sure know I could have used that lecture (twice!!) :(

If that's the case, maybe it's not so much the women they chose but the guys themselves. Maybe they know how to treat their women, or, perhaps it's some shared physical attributes, you know, something in the brothers genes (jeans?)?

I bought this earlier this summer. Low miles, runs good. It's a little wavy from being sandblasted. All and all it's a good start.
