Does New Zealand have more hot rods per capita than an other country in the world? It sure seems that way. Amazing pics of some very tradition rides. Keep them coming...it nice to see some current "summer" shots.

  7. Beautiful shots, beautiful cars! I think there's still a tendency to think of the Hot Rod as a strictly American invention. But it's still amazing to me, and a bit humbling, to see just how well the Kiwis, Aussies, Swedes, Brits, French, Germans and others around the world "get it"! :D It just seems to be one of those universal concepts.

Thanks for sharing the pics. This whole interweb thing might catch on someday if they ever get all the bugs worked out!

  14. I have to get over there for an event plus a swap meet one day.
Maybe we should have like an East vs West type deal between Aussies and Kiwis :) That would be fun.

awesome Roscoe. Looks like you got around to many parts I didn't. I think you would need a week to explore the whole thing thoroughly.
C'mon Kiwis; any more photos of this must do event on the Enzed HR calendar.

This uses technique known as TTV or Through The Viewfinder, where I am shooting onto the top of an old Kodak Duaflex, & thru the viewing lens out the front

  30. OMG! I can't prove it, but you may be a flippin' GENIUS! I've got an old Duaflex IV and an Argus Seventy-Five and now I'm dying to give this technique a try. Was this pretty much straight from the camera or have you got sone other editing going on?

If you haven't tried it yet, you might enjoy a free download of the Poladroid software.

Thanx again for the pics and the great tip!
