  4. I have done a classified ad on here with little responce. I thought placing an ad here would be like buying a cow to get my milk instead of going to the grocery store to buy my milk.

It's kinda hard to see the rear window, chopt49. If there is an actual metal frame around the window, and not just a rubber seal, then it's either a '41 or early '42. They used the metal frame. During and after WW2, they changed over to simply a rubber seal between the cab and the glass. I hope this helps you. Tim

Cant put a lot of money in it so I have been using mostly what I have. Its the hard way, but its unique.

  20. Been awhile since I've posted anything on this thread. The sun is shining here in the Pacific Northwest, ya I know, it's hard to believe, it's wonderful.
Did my first cruise in for 2012 over to the XXX Root Beer last night, there was a half dozen diehards attending.
Going to be working on CC#3 today finishing up all the cab mounts and metal work before sending the cab out to get blasted and painted.
Thinking of selling Crusty Cruiser #1, I don't need three of these trucks. Anybody interested? Best offer under 10K, Pictured below.
The Winternational in Pomona next week and I will be crewing on a Comp Eliminator car for Hancock and Lane Racing. While there I will go over to the NHRA Museum for a visit, and get my batteries charged for 2012.
The Puyallup swap meet is the following weekend when I get back.
Best of luck to all you guys and gals out there with these ART DECO TRUCKS. Let's keep this tread going.

  24. Hey John, sorry buddy, I didn't get to the NHRA museum. BUT, There were several great vintage cars in a special area there at the drag strip. Here are some pictures.
Also in the Staging lanes, that old front motored dragster was with Garlits himself in the seat. That orange Colbat behind Garlits is the car I crewed on and that's yours truly in the Red Line Oil Shirt.

  25. I better post a picture or two of some 41-46 Chevy Trucks before I get into TROUBLE.

  26. One of my customers turned me onto this 41 Chevy Truck, all original. Rust has taken it's toll, and no I'm not in the market for another one right now. (I only have three of these 41-46Trucks). I always like to know where these trucks are close to home.
I see it has a governor under the carburetor w/ 86 thousand miles &. 17" split wheels.

  30. Here's another truck that showed up on Seattle Craigslist recently. Guys says it's a 46 GMC with a running 270 jimmy under the hood. Wants $1800. for it, and it's located in Duvall Wa.
Looked to me like it hasn't run in several years.
