So that make 2 new guys from San Antonio today so far. By Automotive Program are you referring to St. Phillips? I graduated from that program last year. Lots of hands on stuff there.

It was a blast. All the professors where really cool and a majority of them where ASE Master Techs. Which I know doesn't mean a whole lot to everybody, but it was good to know. I took 2 of my ASE's this year, but haven't received the results yet.

All I can suggest is always volunteer for any project they have. Get your hands dirty everyday. I sat next to too many guys that goofed around and graduated next to me not knowing squat. It's up to you to learn.

It definitely helped me with overall car knowledge on new cars and old cars. Keep all your text books and read them again. You can apply some of that to our type of cars here in this forum in some areas, is what I'm finding out.
They'll teach you some of the basics like how to rebuild motors and transmissions as well as diagnose problems with them and a lot more. Make all your mistakes in class so they can help you.

    Good luck!

Always good to see another Texas on here. Welcome!

  20. Yes it is.
Fridays(cruise nights) are hit or miss there. More miss than hit, and some of their Sunday swap meets are good just depends
