So I'm wanting to flake my roof. Was thinking either gold or dark red. I'm still even debating wether to even do it. Most people think my car to to classy looking for flake... What do u guys think? Also can anybody photo shop the colors to get a better idea? ImageUploadedByTJJ1327275248.188736.jpg ImageUploadedByTJJ1327275392.670622.jpg

Dark red... Gold would look strange with chrome. IMO

Gold if you stay off the trim a bit and leave some black.

That might look ok as long as you don't go overboard with it.... For some reason when I hear metal flake I think of an ugly yellow Bradley GT VW kit car I saw when I was a kid... The metal flake was so heavy it reminded you of one of those decorations on a carousel or some little kids art project that used a bottle of Elmer's glue and half a jar of glitter.... kinda ruined the flake thing for me I guess... You know, on second thought don't do it.

Yes if I do flake it I gonna use a smaller flake not anything huge.

  14. If you are going to flake it, I will put my vote in for red.

With that said, I think that your car looks extremely nice as it sits now, I certainly wouldn't kick it out of bed for dropping crumbs!!!

I would go with a smaller flake instead of the "bass boat" flake that you see on some of the roofs nowdays.

    Matthew,
First of all ....your car Your choice! Love it the way it is.

However, it you do it, I would go with something subtle....may go with a "burple"...flake within a black/deep purple base...give it some color, but keeping the dark look to an already cool dark car. I think that the brighter you make the top (alot depends on the base color of the top), the more the car becomes "top heavy."

    Just my .02!!!! Cool car!!!!

Another vote for the clean look she has now. Very sleek with nice paint and shiny bits. I think the flake looks good on some cars...and its your call. But I would rub it & run it as is.

Nothing classier than a solid black car as straight as Yours. Don´t mess with success.
This is definitely one of those instances where "less is more". And it´s best to leave well enough alone. My 2c.

  29. DO IT! I would not flake all the way to the roof edge line. Leave a border of black.
