I gotta brag a little. My buddy that thinks he owns my C10 when he can drive it home, came to the shop today and spent a couple of hours removing the aftermarket seat covers...

    how cool is that?

  7. Finding 8-lug steelies in 15" is going to be nearly impossible. Most all 8-lugs were 16" or 16.5". I have a set of 16.5 steelies from my '64 C-20 that I'm not using. PM me if you're interested. Crazy cheap.....

Years ago, I scarpped a rusted out early '50s Chevy that had 8 lug 15" wheels- buuut they were the old split ring type wheels. Thats the only factory 15" 8 luggers I've seen.

  10. So we have started on this truck. We have the nose and doors stripped off of it and I just shortened a longbox into a 6' box. I just gotta find my camera cord and will upload pics. Its getting slammed on the ground, we took out all of the factory 4x4 stuff

What an epic, epic thread. Lots of 60-66 love, I like it.

Here's my baby. 63, my dad I originally rebuilt from the ground up starting when I was 12. It was a good cruiser, mild 350 and a 700-R4. Not sure how well it will fit in around here with some of the modern stuff we've done, but I dig all kinds so hopefully you guys do too.

It had been sitting for 15 years or so when we got it
    [IMG]

4 years, lots of dollars, and more hours than we care to recall later..

Did the Power Tour Long Haul in here in 03 and 04
    [IMG]

Then we built a Camaro, then got bored again. Ripped it apart, did a 406, heavily built 700-R4, and 9" rear with a locker and disc brakes.

It will be getting some Vintiques rallyes and shop truck lettering before the spring

I wish it still looked that good. It needs a new front clip now. Decided to wreck it this last summer. So much for that nice original body and paint!!!

Thanks! We've been back to the track with it once back in December, in mineshaft air it went 7.74 at 86 (1/8th, obviously), wandering back and forth the whole way due to alignment issues. Hopefully still be good for 7's in the Texas heat - and I'll be driving it to and from the track...

Great time, that's about a 12 second 1/4. Hopefully I'll get a time slip this summer. Good video.

Been a few months since I sold my '65. Sure miss it, especially after watching this vintage film of Sunset Blvd. from 1963. I count at least 4 Chevy pick ups. Could be more but not sure. I think the truck backing out at the end is a Fo.., a Foa,...Foad. Heck, I can't pronounce it.

Lightened up the photo a bit for ya... looks like a good solid truck. I am diggin' those dog dish Chevy hubcaps. My old man bought a brand new '70 Nova that wore a set of those.

70's-80's stock 16x6 wheels with 235/70 up front and 265/70 out back. May grab a pair of 16x8 from Wheel Vintiques for the rear. Need to stretch rear tires inward to clear stepside bed fenders when i lay it down... Need to run the taller tire as no gear sets are avail for the Eaton H052 rear end w/t 4.10

Not sure if this classifies as a "truck" but here's the '65 C10 Panel I just picked up. :D Needs some finishing work and the whole suspension/brakes gone through.

Here's how I got it, with the 22" "pimp my ride" wheels. Luckily the PO gave me the slot mags too. :D
