Like the title says I need u alls help especially you guys with aftermarket clips and parts cars. I need to find the nuts that hold in the a arms to cross shafts and kingpins. The ones that have the grease fittings on them. Mine got trashed on accident so now im stuck. Cant seem to find them by them selfs everyone wants to sell them complete with the cross shafts. So I am coming to you guys and gals for help to se if any one is willing to sell them to me or know of a place that sells them individually please.

If this is posted in the wrong section mods feel free to move it.
    Thanks,
    Chris.

Do you mean the outer control arm bushings?

Those "nuts" are the control arm bushings. They are threaded both inside and out. When the suspension flexes, the movement is on the inner threads. They wear out with the cross shafts, that is why they are not sold separately. A wrecker might have some, but you might have to find a whole parts car.
It's a good idea to use new ones anyway, if you already have it all apart. Not much point in re-using old stuff in the suspension.

  4. I brought after market replacements and they had no provision for the inner lock nuts so I bought used ones from "Old Car Parts" here in Portland Or.

Chevs of the '40s has them in their catalog, they sell a complete front end kit as well as single parts.

Tried chevsofthe40s and national chevy association and they only sell the complete part as shown not just the bushings.

Kanter carries them too (right here).

I know you're trying to do this on the cheap, and I respect that, but anything that makes your car turn or stop is no place to cheap out. Front suspension parts are serious business. Nut up the money for new parts now and it will probably outlast the rest of the car, and never give you another problem. Don't use somebody else's 60 year old unknown junk.

I'd rather use known 60 year old parts, than new repop junk.

Keep looking, someone has to have some....I scrapped the 50 front end I had two years ago.

I know these guys have had some of these cars in the yard. Don't know if they'd pull and ship or if have any good ones, but worth a shot. Give them a call.

I have a parts 1953 parts car in my back yard. It has a complete front clip under it. Your going to have to motivate me with $ though. It is 3 degrees outside and thats not in the wind.
