We were at the track on saturday doing some testing with Dads new motor and there was another new car there doing the same, the guy is from up Newcastle way(forgotten his name) and has done a good job with puttin it together. he brought it of a ANDRA official that was puttin it together and finished it off himself, its running a early Holden grey motor and twin carbs.

........ and his number's great. :D Back when I was in the service a "request for transfer" was the #1049 form. It usually took a second application before you were granted a transfer, thus the standing joke; Have you filled out your "#2098" form?

Nice looking car. It's a shorty! Do those engines have a lot of potential?

it ran good for a grey motor, i think he was down into the the high 16's by the end of the night, his first time on the 1/4 with it as he has ran it on the 1/8th before hand and yeah its a real shorty 105"

Hi Black Knight, what size is that Holden motor? I wonder if it is the same as a chevy or GMC?

Hey guys, great to see another car up and running. Would be good to se you all up here in Feb. Have just had a few dramas with my Flattie, but all good now.

Hey there Joe, the Holden 138 or Grey motor is a one of a kind deal. it has a 4 main crank and a 7 port head, that aside they can really haul some serious "a" when worked over. A popular engine in speedway midget car racing. There are allsorts of aftermarket speed gear made for them over here. Nigel.

Hey Rossco, havnt seen ya around for awhile, the chev is stll goin great guns, 3 years soon since we have finished it and havnt run it since before xmas, its in the container, will prob get it out theweek before we go to Willowbank in Feb and go over it. we did play around and put tripple 94 hollies on it but went back to the SU's as we like the challange as to tune it from track to track. Dad brought the red and chrome hambster that you would have seen at the drags off Coral and JD. we are currently givin Jeffs Flattie a freshen up with a respray and new motor, should have it back together by the weekend, so we have the 2 flatties and chev. its been a blast racin with dad and jeff. you still got the dragster? How is the farm going up in Mudgee? r u still crewin for Dart-attack? we should catch up.. cheers Steve
