A bit obscure, but the diner scene at night on American Graffiti there's a raked Customline that pulls out of a parking spot and scoots off. Tough rake!!

Digging up an old thread, but I'm wondering if anyone has any info on this car?
I'm doing an article on a Popular/Anglia for the little magazine I'm running and the story points to it possibly being this one, imported to South Africa at least 3 or 4 years back, probably more.... info is a little sketchy.
The car here in SA is supposedly a car "from a movie with one of the Beatles". Would make for a nice piece but sounds like it may be a bit of a reach.

Checking out some other sites it seems the movie car may still be running around Upstate NY though - would love to get confirmation one way or the other....

was it not "That 41 over there, it used to be the baddest car in the valley", I never got a chance to race Zooko either!

    California Kid for me.

  10. It was just on a couple of weeks ago. Every time I watch that movie I think about how lucky that kid was to score a car for $300 that could fix itself.

I always liked this '39 Plymouth from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. Especially after Roger "customized it" and flew backwards out of the Mulholland tunnel, then did a reverse 180 with sparks flying underneath the car. Pretty badass.

I think Sly Stallone's '50 Mercury in the movie "Cobra", is a contender!

My two cents would be a close choice between the bad a** Plymouth from Christine and the 55' chevy from good ol American Graffiti.

I could say Milners Coupe but thats just too easy. As far as the best chase scene it's Got to be Dirty Marry Crazy Larry. The Charger or the Impala.
