  6. As others have stated the pre war theme shouldn't be considered since the motor of choice wouldn't fit the theme.

    Heres mine with a Riley Auto 32 frame, 4" droped heavy axle up front 9" in the rear, flathead and a T-5.

    I just finished a three inch chop on my 30 5w A. I think you would still have plenty of room with taking off 4 I wish I had. I also think full fenders are very sweet and saves your paint as well. just thinking outload have fun!

    i'm still around; i just post very sparingly. Thanks to the others who have added to the thread. We have a good gameplan in place now and the build is already started . Thanks again.

    From the pics you posted, I don't think you can build one like those you like with shallow pockets......

    Anything can be built with shallow pockets If your willing to do the work yourself and take the time as funds allow :)

    This was my attempt at a 60's style rod. 31' Tudor sedan, 32 frame, WWWs, SBC, and an open top w/ removable cover. It is somewhere is Japan now.

    This is mine. Channeled 3 1/2 inches, kicked up in the rear 3 1/2 inches, 4 inch dropped axle. No chop. SBC with a 4 speed.

    Ok its not a coupe, but it's being built on shallow pockets:).I want to build a hood to cover up the BBC and go for the pre war look that I love. Here's some info. 5" chop,no channel,'A' frame,stock height all the way around. Cheap(er) and easy. Not to mention the coolness factor of having something very different from most model a's[​IMG]
