I keep my car in the garage with a cover on it. The spiders have taken over. I start it up once a week, and have to clear cobwebs to get in it. Anyone have a good remedy to get these pests out of my car???

  3. It is a proven fact that spiders (especially black widows) are attracted to old cars.

So just ship all your old cars and parts to me, and your spider problem will be solved!

    I bought a '37 Chevy coupe once.
Brought it home, and found a NEST of black widows under the hood. Bombed that fucker QUICK!

Spray spider spray all over it when you start it once a week.

    Good luck!

there are few trees around in my area, one I know of that is about 15 miles north of me..there is an old guy that picks up as many as he can get..he sells em to the market (small produce stores) they go fast.

and an Older lady I knew swore they do their job

I dont have a spider problem, but I never questioned these peoples integrity, or the fact they get sold just for this purpose..

found this..guess it has something simular to DEET in the "fruit"?

  14. the hedge apples work trust me , put them on a plate or lid of some kind and as they rot they give off a smell that the spiders do not like.leave them sit out till they total dry up than throw them away. (we can not smell the apples rotting!!!!)the bad thing is at least in wis. i can only get these in fall.

Make sure you spray under the seat. My brother-in-law lost an employee to a black widow. When the guy went to use the outhouse to take a dump, a black widow bit him on the nuts. Spray, bomb, tent, do what ever it takes.

We have hundreds of hedge trees around here. The fruit is know as hedge apple, and also osage orange. We collect a few dozen of the fruit every fall and place them around the basement and garage. We see an occasional spider, but not very often.

Don't really want to set a bomb off in my car. Here in Florida is the perfect home for spiders. As far as sprays, from what orkin told me they don't work on spiders. It sucks cause when I want to take my car out, I have to spend an hour cleaning up cob webs..........

  21. You have to gut a live chicken, look it in the eyes as it dies, chant "mmooobah gubby gubby yahhhkookoo ka choo I am the Walrus" 3 times, then do the hustle to Cool and the gang around the entrails, all under a full moon. Video it and post it here. If that doesn't work I have some other stuff for you to try.

I just watched a show this weekend where they talked about spiders being able to smell poison and would run away before it affected them. They ended up using those little sticky mouse traps to capture them as they crawled around. I'm sure that not all spiders smell poison?

    I tried that...twice... what else????

  24. Don't let up, you got 'em on the run! Now do the same thing with a pair of rabid weasels, change the chant to "Ooompapa mowmow, kitty kitty cow cow" and do the macarena to your favorite broadway show tune. Outfit is optional, but for a particularly tough infestastion you can't beat a sequined thong. The video is the most important part, so post 'er up.

From what I've heard ( and tried) sprays only work on spiders if you spray it on them. I have them in my garage too,but not too bad. Bomb it once a year.
But hey, they eat the flies and other bugs,so they're not all bad.

If you see these camel spiders brought over from the Gulf War, it's time to break out the M16's.
