great to see it getting driven, are you going to add any chrome side strips or pinstriping? Cheers, Drewfus
Todd that is on hellava Car you have built there....looks a one off to me, great Fabrication mate, very skilful....are you going to put the New Grille in.....but it does have it's own character the way it is though.....Luv it Mate...well done
More photos I "finished" the interior Its all very basic, but it suits the simple theme of the car. I got the rego renewal the other day too. That makes it nearly a year on the road - but only ~800 km While I was at Bayview boat ramp ($$$$$$) a very well spoken lady in her 70s walked over and said that she really liked the car, and then knowingly asked, "Is this an old car or is it new?" I replied that it was a bit of both, realising that this was by far the most intelligent question a stranger had ever asked
This is one of the most amazing builds ever shared here on the forum. Your ability to see the finish product and the materials to ge you there is really exceptional. Thanx for sharing this outstanding craftsmanship and beautiful work with us. The H.A.MB. continues to have the most talented builders on the planet. Congrats mate! ~sololobo~
Just found this thread, amazing. Talk about a silk purse out of a sows ear! For a bloke that doesn't shape metal for a lving you've done a stellar job.
Great job on the build, I see a removable top in the future that converts it from a UTE to a Sedan Delivery, That would be sweeeeeet!
Hay never seen this in awhile!! nice job on the finsh.. I really enjoyed the build on this one.. It was a different take on a 4 door car.greay job..
Nice. I have a 50 chev ute and cannot go anywhere without being stopped with questions. Of course I so live in southern California so here it is rare. Love yours it is looking great Sent from chick's iPad using TJJ
Ever have one of those weeks at work that you just wanted to end? I just got home from one. Ahh the weekend And I got a nice surprise when I got home too. A package sitting at the doorstep. What could this be? A bunch of free magazines from Just Cars And the best bit? My car is featured in them Many, Many thanks to Just Cars and Just Parts magazines! http://www.justauto.com.au/justcars/
Just found this thread - great job on that body - the use of roof panels as quarters is a master stroke - and the tailgate and rear too - having compound curvature in the panels really makes it stand out from a lot of home builds. Well done. Mart.
I also just found this thread. Fantastic job.....looks great. Lots of imagination and elbow grease were used. Congrats on the magazine article as well. Very much deserved. Please keep us posted on any future upgrades, like the grille.
That body style SHOULD have been offered in '39. Your dimensions are as good or better than the factory could have done. Congratulations on your build. You truly turned a sow's ear into a silk purse.
