I'm about to replenish my stock of 2" roloc disc and cut off wheels. Anyone have a good place to buy them in bulk, like 50 or 100+ quantities?

I used to buy them on ebay but can't find the old seller I used!

    Thanks!

Those 'bargain' discs are exactly what you pay for....cheapo-dont last.

They have all the fasteners and clips you'll ever need, plus boxes of red, gray and different grit rolocs.

Enco's January sale flyer has Scotch Brite 2" rolocs for $.91 each in packages of 50 . Singly, they're $1.21. The Enco brand runs $.54 in 50 paks; $.38 singly. Apparently they don't have any deal on abrasive discs this month. 3" X 1/16" cutoff wheels in Enco brand are $1.55 ea up to 11, $1.16 ea for 12 or more.

  13. Have you though about contacting a local Auto Paint supplier? Sometimes you can get a hookup there.

I've always used Lehigh Valley too, but the last bunch of rolocs from them didn't fit my 3M backing pad right. I had to grind the "tit" a little to make them seat properly in my holder. I don't remember if they were actual 3M discs or not.

the orange 3m is all i use , they last 3 times as long as the cheapies

  20. The orange are ceramic, the green zirconia, and the red aluminum oxide in the abrasive discs. Haven't used the orange, but the green live longer than the red, though for certain "fine" things the red is suitable.

I got some of the green off brand that look, color of the backing pieces wise, the same as those pictured on Lehigh, which despite using the 3M trademark name don't look to be 3M. The ones I got didn't last as long as a genuine 3m, probably about 60% or so.

There's price, and then there's cost, ain't the same. I too would like to see if there is some friendlier pricing for the good stuff. Once in awhile ebay works that way, other times not.

  21. Hell at that price you need to start shipping them over this way, Ive just screwed down our supplier and they are still $2 each, those things are as dear as poison over here.

Scotch Brite is a brand name of 3M, isn't it? Scotchbrite pads, etc.

You can try www.thenetwork-cnd.com. He does a lot of swap meets on the west coast. Not sure how his pricing compares with the others.

I've had the "inexpensive" brands break off and spin down the car causing mucho $$ damage to nice paint. Since then the 3M's seem cheap. :D

  26. I buy Klingspor abrasives, and use all three types here. The Aluminum Zircona seem to last the best, and I pay about $.90 each on average.
