Hello, I am wandering if a 52 ford f8 cab is the same as a f1 cab, if there are differences what are they? Thanks
i've been told that my 49 f-6 is the same so i would assume yours is too. as i understand it the wheel well opening and running boards are the only difference between them. could be mistaken. wouldn't be the first time. good luck.
Ford use ONE cab for everything from F-1 to F-8. The hoods and grills were also the same. The fenders differed-I believe F-2 Thru F-6 shared fenders; F-7,8 had their own.
this is why i hang out here so damn much!!!!! bunch of people that know gobs of stuff just putting it out there for all to see!! viva la hamb!!!!!!
used F-8 cab for my 48 pickup, same cab just had holes for the air brakes and lights on top. You know the grill and fenders will not work.
The cabs are all the same, I have a cab from a F-7 on my F-2. The only differences are the transmission cover and dash post. There are usually a few extra holes in the floors for PTO handles and transmission parking brake. F-1 have their own fenders, F-2 through F-6 have the same front fenders. Grills are the same for F-1 through F-6. F-7 and F-8 have larger and wider front fenders and the grills are wider on the bigger trucks. Here's a page I have set up on my web site: http://fatfenderedtrucks.com/partsinterchange.html
