Uncle Bob, that car is just too cool. Love the engine especially!!! Are those Denver heads or Weiand Cheaters? I have a Weiand High Rise and Weiand Cheaters for my '33. I hope it turns out a 1/4 nice as yours.

Funny how on such a perfect car it's things like that stand out so much.
You have a real bitchin roadster Doug, I love the rear end treatment with the rolled pan and nerf bar.

Question....is it really a AV8 if its sitting on a duece rails...? Wouldn't it just be a duece with a Model A body..? Just asking cause I'm no expert, but as I remember back in early days the term usually ment you were putting a flathead V8 in your Model A....

Great Bunch of AV8s! Man, the ideas are incredible! Great thread.

Mike, did you buy the B/T AV8 back? That cars still sets the tone! Very nice!

In the old days the simplest way for someone to go fast was to find a running '32 chassis at the junkyard, throw a Model A body on it and go like hell. Hence, AV8. It's the essence of Hotrodding. And the best part there is.

  13. I wonder how many 32 four doors and sedans got axed for model A & T roadster bodies back in the day.

Man, who cares about THAT car...I mean, really.....it's not like it's going to be an icon or any such mess. ;)

Even though my car will end up looking different in many ways, Bluey remains my foremost inspiration, and I carry that book around like a security blanket. I seriously need to get it autographed.

I second the last motion...THANK YOU for posting.

Pushed it out in the sun over Christmas. '30 Sedan w/ 8ba. Still got a bit to go, but getting there. Don't worry, the big and little tires are in the garage waiting to get mounted. Only have one larger shelf left of parts to put on. Oh yeah, and then do the interior.

Hahaha!!!! I'm just trying to copy Pete Henderson Uncle Bob but you're an added bonus! Anyways, don't worry I'm not building a real hot rod, I'm building a coupe so no one will pay any attention to mine. Hahaha!!!!

My wife bought me the intake and it's polished with two Chrome 97's on top. I'm not sure how I feel about them being polished but I'll wait before I bead blast them.

    Love that entire car!

I took some pictures of this one in Pasadena last weekend. It seems pretty similar to Loudpedal's car. There are some differences; is it the same car?

Getting close to being done. looks a bit more aggressive with the smaller front tires. Grill shell and some other little things left to finish. Maybe some '39 Ford Deluxe hub caps.

Hey all, I'm looking for some transmission cross member input. I have a 8ba, 39 trans, and 40 banjo. I know I can use a 32 cross member, but didn't want to shell out $500. I'm having a hard time finding a F1 cross member too. Any other ideas or pics of what worked for others running the same setup? Thx!
