Owned my 63 Dodge 330 since Sept 1979 so that makes it 32 years this month
My 35 Desoto bought it in 1997 and sold it in 2009 making it a keeper for 12 years.
My 55 desoto s/w I gained in 2000 so thats only 11 years - still young in my garage
MMMM seems to be theme here - I don't trade my cars often and more likely will keep it.

45 years on my mustang which I purchased new in October of 65 and 35 years on my 51 truck--Still got em!!

  7. 3 or 4 years would be a record for me.

I have a stude now that has been mine since '04 but it isn't running for sure and hasn't in that time frame and I have given it away a couple of times. It has been titled to me since '04 and the title has never changed hands.

I suppose that doesn't count. So 3 or 4 years would be a record for me.

  14. My first car, I've had it since 1958, and I am now actively rebuilding it. I spent all yesterday polishing off casting marks on front end parts, and today running down some nuts and bolts.

last week was riveting a new front crossmember in the frame, and I got it off to the powder coater on Tuesday.

It is my 1929 Ford cabriolet, body on the table, that motor in front of it is planned for my newest car, a '29 coupe.

  15. I had just turned eighteen and over Thanksgiving weekend of 1962 I bought my 41' Ford convertible ( picture in profile )from Ron Fletcher of Ft. Wayne, Ind. I still have it. It's gone through some changes over the years. Hoping to have it at the Detroit Autorama next year ( downstairs, this is a driver ). If anyone from the Ft. Wayne area should remember this candy red convertible I would sure like to learn of it's early history.

Got the '40 coupe in 1967, when I was just fifteen. The '41 pickup came along right after I finished pilot training in 1975, and the '29 roadster was finished in 1982. Don't have a lot of turnover around here...

  20. My first 1931 Dodge Brothers DH6 business coupe.....got it at 13. I am now 59, so...46 years.

  21. Started my T tub in 1980. My daughter has had it since 2007, but it is coming home next summer when I deliver her T coupe I am putting together this winter. Coming up 32 years that the tub has been in the family. Not leaving any time soon. Still love that car.

I bought this 1957 BELAIR in 1979. My nephew started to redo it when he was sixteen in 1990. When I get tired of it I will give it to him. I am 62 now, maybe when I hit 70 I will give it to him.
