Just curious, is this the same kind of dash used in Milner's coupe.. Had it hanging on the wall for years and decided to use it in my current build.. Just saw an interior shot of Milner's coupe and just wondering....

No glovebox, he had Carol file his ticket under "C.S.", with all his other tickets, in a pocket in the passenger door trim panel.

I found this picture in another post on this car, so what is the tank in the front? Does it have a pressure pump on it?

  21. Looks like a small Moon tank with a hand pump with just enough capacity for making those short trips (1/4 mile).:) Very cool little coupe!

  22. Every model A put a fuel tank in the drivers lap. Lots of pick-up trucks had the fuel tank in the cab under or behind the seat for many decades.

Not the best idea but its been done an awful lot.

It's a throwback to when guys used to run the moon tank inside there dragster's or salt flat cars in the 50's. I read alot of 1950's hot rod magazines and Rod and Custom....I've seen that many times in old pictures/articles in those magazines. Its what you guys would call "period correct"

Thanks for the answers guys.. I didn't realize Stewart Warner actually made an insert like this.. I was just going for a 'dry lakes' theme in my build.. That's why the single seat, roll bar, pressure pump, push bar and yes, moon tank inside.......

  27. Man you need a few more louvers lol! That car is bitchin!

  28. ...For sure. I think most of us were just giving him some good-natured ribbing. Personally I think the car is pretty damn KOOL.:D

  29. Certainly resembles the dash insert in the Milner coupe. i think they were a pretty popular insert in the '60s.

There is on big difference that should be noted, your car is not a turd.
