Im still working on it! Decided to weld up a few things on my dash, like where the old shift linkage was and some holes that werent being used anymore. Going to two tone it also.. I need to extend my skirts still and work on my vent windows. Decided to skip Suede Palace this year, kind of bummed, but i dont want to compromise my work just to meet a show deadline. Plus the quality of rides inside the Palace have been getting better and better each year.. which is good to see. Makes everyone want to step it up a notch. So the 2 cars from our club will be missing this year. Thanks again Axle for the invite, we appreciate it. So were still going at it, and plan on being complete with interior for Santa Maria. I'll still post updates as I go.. Should be in paint in February. Thanks everyone for the positive remarks.. keeps me motivated.. :)

That looks great Chris, that should solve the other problem with the back pieces also.

Don't do it Chris, it's a lot of work and those cars look better with vent windows.

Ken, Vent windows are cool, I wish I had never taken them out of my 47.

Im definitely running vent windows.. Already working on them. I believe the proportions look so much better when the vent windows are in. Its not going to be easy, but it will be well worth it :)

definitely will. the outer frames of the vent windows are pot metal on the hardtops... so i bought a pair of vent windows from a sedan im going to reshape and modify to work.

Let me know how that works, or better yet, post the pictures for us all to see.

I sent my originals to a guy in Auburn in Nor Cal. He chopped them and then had Shrems plating finish them, expensive but worth it.

I hope your way works as it would be a hell of a lot less.

    thanks!

Yeah, I hope so..the sedan vent window frames are all metal.. so at least I can weld, heat, and reshape them. I talked to "sldnnmat" and he has done a few this way as well.. Just have to make some templates to work off of. I'll post pics when i get to that part.
