Most believe that this January 3, 1863, Thomas nast cover drawing for Harper's
Weekly to be the first published depiction of Santa Claus. Thanks to the Thomas
Nast Santa Claus Collection. I wish we had a bigger version, as there is a ton of
detail all through this drawing. Santa even appears to be holding a dancing toy
    depicting Jeff Davis.:p

Been following this thread for a long time. Here is my Christmas memory contribution. Not sure of the year, thinking about 1972 or 1973. I really wanted a Schwinn Krate, but they were too expensive for my folks... er... uh, Santa. Mom worked at Sears, so I got the Sear's version. My little brother is on the other bike. Looking forward to Santa bringing my son a re-issue of the Schwinn Krate tonight. I'm thinking I'm more excited than he is. Merry Christmas HAMBers! Love this sight and the friendships that it has spawned.
