Anyone with knowledge on 235 Chevy motors?

  2. I am curious considering this engine has a dual carb setup what other mods have been made ....my advice, get a motors manual, do it yourself (the head gasket) .... you'll never be sorry.

    when I finally have the right answer Squirrel beats me to it. I have heard that about him.

    Have the flatness of the head checked when you pull it to change the gasket.

    I just re ringed and installed a reman head. Seems to have halted my oil consumption. 4 out of 6 compression rings were snapped in half and the oil control rings were locked in the lands. If you still need some knowledge pm me and I'll try to help. All the info I learned is still fresh in the ol' noggin.
