I need some help, I'm wanting to paint my 28 a gray/green color with black frame and fenders. I've seen a few A's on the HAMB that color but I can't seem to find them. Anybody got any pictures and color codes?

    Thanks,
    28

Look for '40 Ford pics; "Cloud Mist Grey" was a factory color offered in '40 I believe, and it can best be described as 'grey/green.' the following thread on '40 Coupe pics may have some examples. If not, I think 'olscrounger' here on the HAMB uses his as his avatar.

  4. Here's one from my reference file. Don't have a paint code, but agree that Cloud Mist Grey in one of it's variants will come close.

Here's my 40 coupe--cloud mist grey--color taken from under orig deckid where paint was not faded.--Also other 40's in this color (have done 4 in this color over the years) in my album--have seen several variants taken from hidden places on orig cars. 50 suburban on here is also interested in this color-sending him my only sample soon-but getting some more paint mixed next month just in case I have a problem.

I was gonna say I started a thread a couple weeks back about greenish bluish greyish cars. My sedan is most likely going to be cloud mist grey, I really like Olscrounger's car!

I looked at this thread and many others when I was trying to decide, ended up with Ford Nile Blue Green.

Actual "Dearborn Award" winner cloud mist gray ... :) The judges in Dearborn are anal about their accuracy.

A few from my computer. No idea what color codes they are, just thought they looked good.
