History 1966 Winternationals Motorama pics

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by lurker mick, Dec 22, 2011.

  1. I was digging around in a box of old photos and found some that I took at the '66 Winternationals Motorama show

I wasn't really into taking pictures back then (as the quality of the photos prove) but thought they might be interesting to some of you guys.

I found some photos of the '68 Motorama as well and will post them if there is any interest.

  4. I had forgotten about the Stiletto from Promotions inc. It was very cool. Can't remember who built it.

  8. Awesome pictures, thanks for sharing. I was not aware that the Mantaray had that paint scheme at one time.

    sure is....

    your right!

  16. Rik, do you believe the Corvair was a Watson job? The heavy veiling along the side looks to be his work.

I have never seen the Corvair before... It could be Watson's work, but there are no photos of it in his personal Collection. To bad we cannot read the whole sign in front of the car.

Strange days at the auto show for sure. Sam's Gold Nomad is awesome, I drooled over that car as a kid. Fun to see these historic pix. Thanx! ~sololobo~

    Hi Mick,
I own the re-created Hollingsworth Nomad and would love to get a clear copy of the photo you took of it at the '66 Winternationals, could you get in touch if you still have that photo.
    Thanks, Jeff
