Looks like that might have been a LaSalle at one time? Or, at least bits of it.

In Minnesota, you qualify for street rod plates if your vehicle was manufactured before 1949, or was recreated to resemble a vehicle manufactured before 1949.

I kinda like it. Looks like the Minnesota winters took their toll on it, and I wonder how well it cools with that little grille opening.

  7. I want more pics and info on the car. That thing is wicked.

Don, I was thinking the same thing, then I noticed the vents in the hood top, possibly to counter having such a small grille area.

There is a lot of 35 Lasalle in that car but the fender lips don't jive with a 35 Lasalle. I could find room for it at my place at any rate.

I dunno, looks a little like one of those kit cars...Zimmer coupe or Tiffany. Check out the kit car section from the Hemmings.

this is the information that came whit the car
    its for sale for $35.000

SPORT COUPE 1936 in its own juice. AUTOMOTIVE LEGEND OF YEARS 30. When I researched this car on an American auction site, I could not believe my eyes. Indeed, I thought that, like dinosaurs, this car had disappeared from the face of the planet. But no, she was still there. I started the auction by telling me when you love are not counted. The auction mounted and I finally followed purchase the vehicle at a price say. . . American but when you love are not counted. Next is the shipping and customs clearance to heaven Then again ground transportation to Nice but ... .. When you love you do not count. Then I asked for a quote the bodybuilder, the painter, the mechanic and finally saddle. And that really, even if you love beautiful cars hard. . . . Being retired with limited means we end WHEN EVEN COUNT. Not being able to undertake the restoration, I leave this beautiful automobile. It is marked "OLDSMOBILE" ON THE WHEEL COVERS BUT THIS CAR LOOKS LIKE A CURIOUS ONE CAR RE 1936 AND RE-bodied-MOTORIZED IN THE UNITED STATES. THIS IS THE PHOTO OF THE PLATE AND PAPER THAT JUST GET ME THE CUSTOMS. It had to be two tone light blue and dark blue at the origin. The interior is completely review. The previous owner told me that he fell on a stone which explains the rear shock and immobilization of the car for several years. except that car probably belonged to one of those crazy-mad years of the underworld 30 in Chicago. Vehicle mythical legend car. This is a great basis for restoration should be worth a fortune in a few months. Additional photos available upon request. The car is visible in Nice by appointment. Curious, dreamers, or photo collectors go your way.
