Nice stuff this week! Shades34, outstanding work on those models! Really clean builds. Great chop on the '31 and amazing job on the plate! SteveB, Stunning job on the Fleetline! Not only is it a beautiful and tastefully executed custom, but you've done an incredible job fixing what has to be one of AMT's worst kits so that it much more accurately captures the character of the original car. As for me, I got nothin' new this weekend, so here's some pix of an old custom rod model built in the early '60s by a kid named Sam. Last year I bought it off ebay from his old friend, took it apart, cleaned it up, and made some adjustments to the stance and wheel placement. The paint and interior are original. It's a heavily modified AMT '32 roadster with a '25 T pickup bed, Olds engine from the AMT '40 ford Tudor, and wheels from the Ala Kart kit. Other assorted bits include a '60 Pontiac steering and dash from AMT's chopped '25 T coupe. I added the nerf bars from an old tool Ala Kart kit to complement the canted quad lights.

The following four picture were taken from an Australian model site of which I am a member. I reckon they are too good not to share. The builder comes from South Australia and goes by the handle "RetrospectKustoms" I think he has done a perfect job (no,,I am not related to him) Enjoy Cheers Rod
My project for the LSR buildoff on this site's model car group. Vacuum formed body with Revell '48 Ford parts and scratchbuilt chassis. Windshield is the back half of Airfix's 1/24 P-51 Mustang, cut down and turned around backwards.
Lookin good man!! It kinda looks like one of my old mans mates tanks. Would love to see under the skin!! Doc. (Or do we have to wait for you to win the comp??!!)
Woodguy, do you have any overall shots of your layout(s). I really like the way the track puts the cars nose to tail in the turns. Also, think my old slot car could play? Gary
Blackie Gejeian. Look again at the dio, & you'll know which one they're talking about.[/QUOTE] You can't miss him in the dio on page 1. Remember, this gentleman is over 80 years of age and still looking mighty good. He and Gene Winfield have found a fountain of youth. Mike
Hey Steve ! I'm not trying to tell you what to do with that beautiful fleetline, because you're the master of subtle kustoms, but the side view show to me that a little pie cut on the front of the hood would help a lot the front design by losing the dolphin nose.. just my two cent ! I'm really happy to see you're back at that sweet fleetline , the packard side trim works well with the design
