I have known Bob for many years, thanks to the Gas/FX group. When I bought Jim Zakias old 55 Chevy, Bob and I became real close friends as he always told me it was his all time favorite gasser. I am at a loss for words. He was a great friend and I will miss him very much. Rest in peace Bob!

  10. Since I'm not old enough to have seen any of famous drag racing cars from the 60's and 70's in person. Bob's photos are truly an treasure trove, and they allow everyone, including myself, to both remember and enjoy the history of the great sport of drag racing. My thoughts and Prayers go out to Plum, his wife, and his loved ones.

Bob was a great person, always had time to talk with people and never hesitated to share. Goes without saying that he will be greatly missed.

We all knew this was coming. I am relieved Bob is in no pain now. I pray God will ease Dottie and the family's heartache. He was a special guy to me. Thanks for all you contributed to the sports we all love. Because of the Plumers it will live forever.

I just talked to Dottie, and she said a "dress code" will be strictly enforced at the memorial service. No suits, no ties, no formal attire. Wear your favorite racing attire.
I know that Bob was partial to the Gassers, especially SWC, Big John, and the Bizio truck. Make Plum happy and make him feel comfortable if you are planning on attending.

    Folks,
There will be a wake memorial for Plum following the Church Service. Time: 11:30am till 2pm. Food, drink and good memories.
This is right down the street from the Church.

    The American Legion Post 605
    57 West Main Street
    Dallastown Pa 17313

Plenty of parking out back, and H&H Lighting which is next door will allow parking in their lot as well. Enter the Post through the front door and come to the 2nd floor.

Hope to see you all there, even if its just in spirit,
    Alan

It was a fitting "send-off" for Plum yesterday, ending with a little cackling from the Boss Hydro. Even shooting some flames although I couldn't capture them.
