Some of the best pinstripers I've known in my life, started out in tattoos. Glad to know there is a Hamb'r close by who slings ink......want my next traditional piece, but scared to bits of the idjits here in Bakersfield! xxx Brandy
That looks like "Mrs32Limey" tho she wasn't Mr's when they left Paso on Sunday...headed to Vegas Dave
i plan on having some pinstriping tattoo done as well. I need to get with a striper and get a design figured out for the location as well as talk with my inker. I have a couple tattoos that are in front of the pinstriping though...so no rush. Looks like some nice ink.
Mmm, nice. Been looking to get that done myself for awhile, but havent picked out a design yet, I'd like to get good eough to lay out my own someday. Also been thinking about a flying eyeball maybe, perhaps with flames, but can't decide where to put it.
Looks great Dan. Question on colors though. How will lighter colors hold up on skin? Without an outline to define the edge will it fade badly? I only ask becasue I wanted something like the pic below (without the flame) and with a few more colors (which would include orange, and a bright blue). Naturally, a good pinstripe is a fine line. What will these look like in 15 years? Wouldn't want a big, fat, faded out line. Wouldn't want to look like a 5 year-old colored on me with crayons. My guy said I needed to stick with dark colors - black, dark blue, dark green. TIA, JH
I have to say a big thanks to Dan for the beautiful work he did on my old lady & the very proffesional manner he did it in! If anyone is considering a tat i would recomend him with confidence. & yes we did get married in Vegas......drive thru in the '39 & then celebrated at Hooters, & went on to the Antique Nats for the Honeymoon! Kev.
thanks alot guys, i didn't wanna say who I did it on in case it was a secret, but I guess it's out now...haha. anywyas, it was a pleasure, and fun to hang out with Kevin and Tracy, they came in to me and waited while i drew the design up. As far as colors go, it depends on the kinds of ink, there are different manufacturers of tattoo pigments, some are better than others, some colors hold up better to sun than others. But if you take care of the tattoo, and if it was done well in the first place using quality pigments, it should be fine to use something like a lime green. yellow and orange fade fast in sun usually, so go from there. It's also a good idea to use sunblock on tattoos after they are completely healed. Nads, next time yer cruisin to cali, lemme know.....
Well, I've got 2 of them in mind....I'm sure you know both of them real well since one is your wife and the other is Dustin.
