I just thought I'd throw mine in the thread. I bought it back in the Spring in WI. I guess the previous owner passed away last year, and a Ford dealer had it for sale. Drove it back to Detroit, with a ferry trip across Lake MI! So far, so good. Had some strange little issues, but most are getting worked out. The truck has a 67 Impala 327 with Corvette heads, a 350 auto, and 9" Ford. Front end is some kind of tubular Mustang suspension. Sits decent and is a good cruiser that I would feel confident driving anywhere! Overall everything is holding up well for the truck being built this way almost 20 years ago!

I like your style I'm doing mine the same way, but a scotch brite wheel cleaned mine up very nicely then I went back and sprayed some clear coat enamel over all of it. You would be surprised how well that old paint cleans up and mine had WAY more surface rust than yours but it leaves a sweet looking patina. I'm building a 300 inline 6 to drop in place of the old 223 possibly a turbo in the future as well :D

Here is my 63 with the big back window. Hope to get back to working on it soon. It has a 292 with 3x2s. It was converted to a 4x4 before I got it.

  18. Hey gents! A lot of nice looking Uni's here! Almost makes me want to finish mine! Almost. :roll eyes:

That said, I will be selling my 62 Uni project to fund yet another project. I will be putting a post in the classifieds but I wanted to share this with the true uni fans first.

    So here is the truck:

I am selling the complete truck minus engine and tranny for $975. It is straight and rust free. PM me if you'd like more info. Truck is located in Bend, Oregon.

My Uni F'ie and what I hope it will look like when I'm done. Thought they were exstinct until i saw one in a classic truck mag. I haven't seen one since the 80's i think. Fell in love with them the first time i saw one. Sold my 66 stang to get a straight one out of so cal.

You are a luckey person ... straight rust free examples are hard to come across. The rendering is jam up - who did it??

    Good luck with your project.

This is My 62 ford Unibody. 2004 crown vic running gear. Front Cross member, and rear end, power steering power brakes. 302 with 351w heads. I just finshed the body work and painted it, I still need to cut and buff the truck out..

I don't have any more new pics at the moment. Camaro front sub, 472 cad, c-notch in rear. Here is a pic from last summer.

I've known about this little pile of Ford trucks for years but never stopped to take photos until today. A couple of unibodies here.

I just picked this up locally, Unsure what I want to do. It does need proper wheels and a decent bench seat, as Jeep seats now. I might also sell it, who knows!
