Sometimes my job pays dividends, I got a call from a lady asking if I would be interested in buying one of her recent deceased fathers cars that was alloted to her by the rest of the family. It is a original one owner 1928 Ford 2-door been sitting for over 30 years in his barn beside a 27 T Touring. The car is complete rust free body with real fancy seat covers and a obviously rare swan on the radiator cap.I bought it on the spot. I have not tried to start it yet I just wanted to get it home. After taking the photos I noticed the early T-Bird sportster tonneau cover on the roof made it look like it had eye brows. Anyway I now have to decide what to do with it. Any suggestions???

Nice looking A. I also have one of those swan's out in my shop. Never tried to identify it. Would be nice to know what and where it came from. Mine may have wings but I don't remember. It appears yours might be missing the wings. Yours is mounted to an original A radiator cap but the swan as far as I know wasn't offered by Ford as an accessories. Ford offered a flying quail.

Absolutely the best option for this car. Not too far from stock that it couldn't be returned if desired all the while putting on a definite hot rod face. WIN/WIN!!!!!!

1928 the first year for the model A the emergency brake was on the left side by the door, in 29 they moved it to the center where yours is,
    may be you have a 29 ?

If you take the fenders off (which I wouldn't):

But a couple upgrades and you can have a nice driver like these:

Long term.. I'd do something very similar to Bull's build with a Y-block/5-speed and few other minor changes.

That sedan looks cherry too! Good catch!
