We're are looking into putting on a small indoor car show this winter and the limiting factor is door width for enter the cars.

So my question today is - what is your hotrod/custom/car/truck and how wide is it?

    Thanks

Well that's one way to rid a car show of muscle cars...good thinking! :)

    A full-fendered A is about 67" wide.

The Morris Minor is about 61" wide.

Can't keep out the Falcons. I'm not sure the exact width, but they're one of the narrowest, I'm certain.

Can small outdoor cars enter as well? On a serious note, is that a good idea in an emergency? Getting a bunch o cars out of a tight exit in a hurry?

I would think that the best thing to do is find a venue which can accomidate(sp)
any and all cars that would be welcome at your show.
Just thinking that would be your best bet.

You should be looking at 8' min.for a door opening. I've got a 6' door in my small shop
and I'm going to have to take the modified apart to get it out side. Any way good luck with the show.

  14. A car cannot legally be more than 8 ft wide. My stude ( '53 Commander) is real narrow believe it or not aboput 5'6" at the doors. If that is any help. My roadster is about 4' with the fenders but with tires it will be closer to 5' at the rear tires.

A 1960 Starliner is about as wide as they get (except for large trucks), they are 81.5" across without the rear view mirrors.

    Good Luck

We've got a 76" door way, so it will be tight.

The idea is about 8 or 10 hand picked hot rods, and some vintage and custom bikes in a early 60's style show with a few bands mixed in for good measure in late Feb. or early March when our local scene is dead.

The few rods we are looking at all seem to be under 72" so we might just be able to make it work.

Would love to bring in some customs but it may not happen.
