    Mooneyes did it again.

It still amazes me all the work that the Moon Crew puts into this one-day event in Yokohama. The logistics are staggering, but the end result is a great show, full of great bikes and cars from all over Japan. There seemed to be a lot more visitors from other countries this time around and it made for an interesting crowd. Not only were the bikes and cars top notch, but so were the amazing displays that went along with them. The variety of vendors also added to the whole event.

This is a great one to attend if you haven't already. It's a very unique event that won't disappoint.

I've seen many pictures of the paint jobs on these cars from Nagoya posted by Toshi of Local Hero before, but seeing them in person really is something else! A little mind boggling.

Glad you guys like the pics. I'm pretty happy with them since it was the first time I was shooting exclusively with my iPhone.

Sounds like a few of you have this one on "the list". You should check it out for sure. It's a completely different experience. The Japanese don't seem to be bound by the same kind of tradition that we are and a lot of adventurous choices are made with the cars (and especially bikes) they build.

They're not as hung up with building a purely period car and although they are still employing many traditional parts and techniques, the creativity level is somewhere else.

Were you at the Yokohama show? There was a huge contingent from Australia this time around.

Yeah, I think those guys are either drunk or asleep.

I'm not usually a big fan of the crazy paint jobs although I appreciate the work, but I like the "subdued" palette on the '51 convertible.

Thanks for the pics. I went in 06 and had a ball. Maybe it's time.

Probably best year to date, and no i havent been there, but the cars are over the top.
Strongers have stepped their game up enromously, and so did everybodyelse.
Gotta love the Next Movie 62. and they have the best damn 70s lows in the whole world.

Geez I wonder how long it took to do some of those paint jobs, like the Riviera for example.
