Why did the guy build a Lincoln- esque Ford and use an Old engine hiding under Lincoln valve covers? I was disappointed that he did'nt use the Lincoln Y on that car. Thought it would be a natural choice. Not taking away from the job you did on the Olds engine, it's a beautiful piece. Just thought the Lincoln/Deuce could'a used a real Lincoln engine.

This is what a `32 Ford with a real Lincoln V8 looks like. The Lincoln has a visual advantage in my opinion, in that the cylinder heads don't have any area where the exhaust port is extended past the water jacket like on the Olds, Caddy and Buick engines of the 1950's. That area on those GM engines is a major eyesore in my humble opinion. On the Lincoln and Ford Y-blocks you don't have that situation and the top of the engine looks better as a result.

This is a recreation of the Alexander Bros. 'Adonis' (built by John Schleicher with the assistance of Mike Alexander and the use of his original drawings and photos). -- Unfortunately after its show duties, the original Adonis was sold to someone that left it parked outside for several years. Its remains were taken to a junk yard and crushed over 40 years ago...
