That engine's got to weigh 900 lbs??

  11. 6V-92 in a T who would have thought! Now all he needs is a twin turbo set up, some big injectors and a little nitrous and see if he has the balls to lay into it full throttle and stay in it!!

That engine probably out weighs the rest of the car.

Thats on huge chunk of engine squeezed in there....

It has to hit like a tank... suspension and frame are going to pay the ultimate price i fear..

  18. I believe it is a 6V-53 engine... still looks interesting.

Always liked a V-6,but he needs a larger rear to handle the torque.

  21. A classic example of: "Just because you discover you can do it, doesn't mean you should do it"...

Oh well, I'm sure he's enjoying it, and more power to him.

    Tick....tick....tick....

I think he could forget the transmission other than the need for reverse!

Definitaly a 6-53, don't use nitrous, use propane thay like it better, old Detroit mech I used to know said if you want to run a Detroit, first thing you is slam your hand in the door and drive it "PISSED OFF", I like it , shows that you march to the tune of a different orchestra , I got the injector tools!!!!!

They were running some Terex scrapers on the North slope with V-12 s in them. The shop had on run a engine overhauls. The tops of the pistons were burned. One of the mechanics in an attempt to discover the cause took a couple of breaks with the drivers. As the conversation progressed, the cause of failure became apparent.

The drivers were discussing who won and lost the previous shift's races.one of the drivers mentioned "passing gear".What they were doing is grabbing CASES of starting fluid from the parts room. Then when a race materialized, they would spray the fluid into the air intake.I guess when that engine got to breathing air, diesel, and joy juice at top speed it was like another gear!

The mecahnic then looked behind the seat ,only to find previously aforementioned case of starting fluid!

  27. Yep my bad, i forgot the 92's have the valve cover bolts on top of the cover. but still impressive!

No propane it is like adding more fuel, it raises egt's, nitrous will burn the extra fuel and not raise egt's and if you go to much it just puts the flame out. totality different than on a gas motor.

And another thing i don't get is why the crybabies bitch when someone builds a rod and puts a diesel in it and want the mods to delete the post as off topic, no different than putting a damn small block chevy into a Mopar. It's a motor after all!
