Starting a new thread with my Caddy build. The Cadillac is a 1951 Coupe that belonged to a friend of mine. He started the custom build with a 3 inch chop and fender work, unfortunately my friend past away and the project was put to sleep, his son inherited the Caddy but he is not a car guy so he decided to sell the car, he asked me if I wanted to buy it and finish it. So in the honour of my friend I will complete this build and bring some of my own ideas to the project. This is what I startet with: I did'nt like the rear window opwning so I started to change it. 50' Chevy rear window frame
Good start, I think this will be an cool caddy.. sorry to hear about tour friend.. Keep up the Good work.!
That looks like it's gonna be neato. Good on you for taking up your friend's project and getting it on down the road.
Looking forward to seeing this one play out. I think the overall look of the roof could be sweetened by tweeking the slope in back if that is possible. Great idea extending the quarters, by the way.
Looking good already!!! Dig the extension too....condolences for your friend & big props for taking on his project!! That's a friend.
Very sorry to hear about the passing of your friend! What a great way to honor him buy puchasing his project Caddy and finishing it! Looks like it will be a great kustom when you are done. I love the new back window opening and the extended fenders. Best of luck with the project!

Thats exactly right. Your friend is smiling down on you as you build this car. I'm sure he's proud or you already. I can't wait to see more of your work.
Thanks everyone for your kind comments. The rear fenders still needs some work, I'll post pictures of the progress. I have lowered the rear end 4" and will complete it with air bags.
Kopperhead, Sorry for the loss of your friend, but it's in the right hands now to see his dream come true. Jonnie King www.legends.thewwbc.net
