i'm completeing my restoration of a 38 ford i noticed on my amp meter it had a loop on the back . do i push the wire through it and crimp it slightly with shield on or strip it and terminate there ? or do I loop a hot wire through it and out to another connection?

Should have two hoops. Feed yellow wire down (may need to take the rubber insulation off the connector) through and connect to terminal on firewall. No need to crimp. Most of this is relative to a stock setup.

Correct but I mistakenly said to feed it down. It actually feeds from the bottom/up then to the block. The ampmeter will run backwards if run through incorrectly. At least mine did :]
