You don't have to be brave to build IH's,,just resourceful since there is almost nothing in the way of aftermarket parts of any IHC.

Here's my S-100 and L-130. Thats the og owners brother pictured with the 100. The 130 has 45K original miles. Both trucks were used in the oil field in OK. Plans are to keep the 100 stock since it's so complete and stretch the 130 for a 9' custom flatbed.

  22. Best thread ever. Im trading my shoebox tomorrow for a 50' L series. It needs some love and im takin a pretty big loss but my dad hot rodded these trucks. My first truck was supposed to be his L series but back then we were broke and that truck made ends meet. 15 years later im buildin one i cant wait.

  23. Internationals heritage is strong in the U.S. they build M-1 garand rifles for the military , also built what is known today as whirlpool appliances , tractors ,semi's, and almost any piece of industrial/ farm equipment you could ever need . Such a badass company.

Well I can't speak for everyone here, bur mine had the hood, valve cover and the rest of the top of the engine removed leaving the pistons looking at daylight for half a century.
Even I'd the engine was in good shape, I likely still would have swapped. Just for the fact that SBC parts are SO much easier to come by.
