oh it went!! he would start it up and drive it into the show floor.he said most of the other cars were never started or ran. he couldn't stand a hot rod that wasn't drove.they told him it wouldn't work to chrome the vavle spring that they wouldn't work but they did and the last time we saw the car was 15 years later and it was still running with the same springs.

Virgil, I didn't catch the fuel injectors first time around, now I remember your thread on it. Cool stuff. Guess you succeeded in keeping the "carb" look! I have nothing against OHV, sometimes I get modern and play with my Y-Blocks! Was working on a customers 241 Dodge hemi , been thinking about messing with an early Hemi as well.
Fedman, I agree, Goatroper02 need to put his Olds on here, it's killer.

Same idea as Chuckles' - I dig the non-chrome, non-polished blower look. (Not mine, I found this shot on the HAMB)

I'd display that Lincoln Y block in my living room!!! Shear beauty!

  16. Then you'd be dissapointed, 'cause it aint a Lincoln. I believe it's an Olds with Lincoln valve covers.

It's still not fully detailed but I'm not too ashamed of the 289.
