  1. You are the lucky one, I wish I had access to knowlegeable relatives in using machinery. Anyone with the money can buy tools; you can't buy experience.

Ever since I looked t your 4 link rear....I have been asking myself if the geometry is okay. Having different length bars and different mounting locations on the frame.

To me it seems that when the axle goes up the pinion angle will change quite a bit. Much less so when it goes down.

  4. Very common in drag racing, changing the mounting points creates
a different Instant Center, which influences how the suspension reacts.

Streetrod aftermarket kits typically use equal lengths,
    based on cost savings,not performance.

Sweet truck. I like what you are doing with it. The frame looks really good. Can't wait to see more pictures as you make progress. Keep it up.

I agree with you complety, to me a traditional build is using parts that you can find and make fit, not buy off the shelf. My Terraplane is built that way and my Dodge truck will be the same. Sweet looking truck there, keep the young blood flowing.

No, the divers side door is from a coupe or sedan, it fits perfect except for the a little gap at the top. I am going to chop it, but that'll be the last thing I do.

I like it. However I think the bedside needs to come up a bit, maybe to the bottom of the body line. I do agree that the bottom of the bed needs to match up with the bottom of the cab, but you could always make an extension pannel to add onto the bottom of the bedside. Good job man. you're well on your way.

the bed side is just layin there. I threw it on there for the picture. Im going to fab a new bed when the time comes. It'll come up to just under the belt molding on the cab.

You also need to find a Dodge grille shell, since I see you are keeping Dodge minded with the hemi....;)

I thought about finding a dodge shell, but i LOVE the 33 chevy shell. We have two 33's and I just love that shell. Plus, we had an extra in the attic!
