I just took in a stray Beagle pup a few months back. Added her to my family of pets. Also have a Husky and a German Shorthaired Pointer that my sister rescued from a shelter. I'll get another cat when one of the old dogs (they're both 12) passes on.

Ya know, we've had the pleasure of meeting a lot of HAMB members at various events and a nicer bunch of people you wouldn't find anywhere. But for some reason a certain percentage of people get very brave and rude when they are sitting in front of their computer keyboard and feel the need to become ninjas. Very confusing. Maybe it's just me, but I never get out of bed in the morning and wonder whose balls I can bust that day.

But it is nice that the OP found a home for his wheels and his charity got a few more bucks to feed the pups. Lots of good came out of this thread.:) I called that shelter and they take debit and credit cards over the phone.

    Hi Scotty,

As of about 1 hour ago a gentleman from Arkansas said that he would like the wheels.

His HAMB screen name is olracer55

He is going to try and get a friend of his who travels our area to stop by and get them.

It was not a life and death situation that he had to have them, he too more than anything simply wanted to help out the pups.

You may want to PM him and see what you guys can work out since you are so much closer.
    Wouldn't hurt.

    Again he is olracer55

(PS I am strictly a dog guy too even though we always have a cat of two, but don't tell my old lady. She loves all critters)

Then why the hell did YOU post on it...??? Be man and either make a donation to the man's no-kill shelter or go away...!!! Some of these FNG's have no tact at all...

No shit. This place can be the biggest fucking bitchfest on the Net. Somebody was posting the other day about the lack of quality new threads here these days. Gee, I wonder why?

I won't make a donation to the shelter recommended here - but that's only because my donations go to Wayside Waifs, a great no-kill shelter here in Kansas City. That's where I got the 10 year old female Shepherd laying at my feet as I type this.

Hey Alex, good on you. And I'm glad someone is getting the slots.

  8. PM sent. my folks live in cool springs township and i'll be there this weekend, so if the other deal falls through let me know.

Very Nice, MoneyMaker. What a good idea.
I, and my wife also support the no kill shelters, and have 8 dogs, and 5 cats.

    No mice
    No theft,
But lots of land mines!! Mostly from a 210# English Mastiff, who is very protective.

The other good thing that came out of this thread is that a lot of good, compassionate members weren't afraid to stand up and say how they felt. As long as rude, negative people are allowed to just say anything they want without someone calling them on it, they will continue to do it.

Sometimes you just need to say enough is enough.

So your point was.......? This is a fantastic way to donate to a great cause. More people should be like Moneymaker and offer their parts for a small donation to a place like that.

  19. Well done to the OP and other positive posters...pets give way more than they take......we have 2 cats and 2 dogs ..all saved from the pound, as have all the animals we have had the pleasure of in the last 33 years together.

Haha a certain somebody erased everything! Didn't think you could even do that here. Maybe finally he figured he was wrong.

Moneymaker, Kudo's to you for what you are doing :D

The other night, I was at a bar, and there were people there from

a local animal rescue organization. They walked away with my $100.00

donation. BTW, I have 5 rescue cats.

    Again, Kudos

I might try the same thing when I get rid of my cragars shortly. ;)

Try this. It's free to feed an animal with only a click.......
