Got this model info this morning and thought I would pass it on to all the flathead guys. 1949 Ford flathead engine model. Hawk brand $19.95 .Got the info from Amazon .com ,my son bought some stereo equipment from them and now gets regular flyers on new products. Thought I would pass it on to the Ford guys. Just shows all Chevy guys aren't all that bad.Looks like a pretty descent model.

49? Looks like an earlier model to me. The image on the box looks to have an extended bell and a front mount distributor. The exhaust manifolds also appear to be incorrect. Plus what's with the Merc on the box cover? I don't think I would buy anything from someone so prone to error.

  3. Paid $15 for mine at Hobby Lobby off of the discount rack :)

Looks good if you ignore the box. It is a 59a style engine. The fault is with the sales guys, not the designer/manufacturer.

  5. Probably swap the intake and heads, fab up some headers and run a T5 anyway...

Looks like they swapped the Merc for a shoebox.

Dang Its got to where everything you post on the Hamb anymore somebody has to critisize it. Nobody asked anybody to buy it,just passing along the info.

  7. I don't really care about the errors, I have real flatties to play with. I'd stick one of these on my shelf, and will pick one up if I see one.

They also have a "'48" flattie that is pre-assembled...

And a version with the rare aftermarket see-through heads...

  13. I agree with you. It almost makes you not want to post anything anymore.
I appreciate you taking the time to post this.

  14. They already have a model of a small block chevy, very similar to this one, but it's the only one you can purchase with food stamps.
