Neal, as I told you once, any man that can make a 32 grill shell out of old finders is a true craftsman. I think I said I need to shake your hand. Your work and dedication speaks wonders.--TV

Your rpu is awesome! Great job, and who would have thought a pickup makes a great family rod too.

...You sir are truely an artist! I've always had a RPU on the top of my list of cars to build! This may be the most beautiful one to date...I can't wait to see this finished, and that rumble seat is the coolest thing I've ever seen on a RPU!

  12. Just found this thread and it is so cool. Can't wait to see more.

    Neal,
Great job on the build, enjoyed seeing it on our PRC RR, Glad to see it with Tim's Tub. Did you plan taking it down for color? You are keepin it 4 ever right???
Man, I don't know if I could take it down once it had been together. I hope that you get it back together soon, And I hope that you feel better soon.

Kevin...and others...thanks for the kind words. Yes, it was always planned to blow it apart for paint and upholstery. The bare metal was always a temporary thing in my mind. I need to get enthused about the project again...because right now I could never touch it again and it wouldn't bother me. It was easy to tear apart...just not so easy to get motivated to work on the pile of parts. Maybe after I get feeling better...

...and I never plan to sell it...just don't tell Larry that....

  21. I've got a special subscription folder just for Neal threads, but it's nice having it all in one place. Can't wait to see that thing painted!

now that I see the build in full I am in awe of the quality of engineering and detail that went into this truck.

hope mine turns out half as nice.

Inspiring. I'm also building a 32 RPU but mine will be a Brookville because I don't have you talent. My Pete and Jakes frame look pretty naked sitting in the garage without a body. I guess you must crawl before you can run. Great project and fantastic detail you've gone through. Can't wait to see it in paint.
