Got the sad news this week that we lost another life long hotrodder. Doug Minton's life ended earlier this week at the age of 45. Doug and his dad Tom Minton were a part of the Oklahoma and Texas racing community. They had just won the Street Rod division at Thunder Valley with thier primer gray Studebaker truck just a couple of weeks ago.. Doug had been racing motorcycles, rock crawling jeeps and hot rods since he was a kid under the guidance of his dad Tom. Doug was a great machinist that would help anyone out at the track without a thought. His dad Tom join in on our circle of racing clowns several years ago and brought Doug into the circle. Tom and Doug have been a great help and inspiration to our gang. Doug was Tom's only child and is suffering greatly. Doug's passing was sad and is a private family matter. Doug, you will missed.
Sorry to hear that even though I didn't know either him or his dad. My heart goes out to his dad, I lost my oldest son 21 years ago and the world is never the same after that happens.
My thoughts & prayers to his family and friends. 45 is way too young to leave this earth. Jonnie King

Prayers for all who are suffering his loss.May God ease the pain and give strength to endure Dougs passing.
This is such bad news, They did indeed win the csga nostallgia nationals rebel hot rod class. I did the show and was proud to hand them both the plaques and checks for the efforts they put forth. They always raced my race as well as friday night test sessions with the stude and the soon to be going chevy pickup... R.I.P dug
