Thia is one of my favorites. Made from a '35 closed cab; Steve's Restorations cowl and lots of used parts.

  21. If your '28 has actual AR front fenders, keep 'em safe! They're gold!! Nice RPU.

Here's my chance to learn something today ......

    WHAT ARE AR FRONT FENDERS?

  27. Well as far as i know, the fender at the rear curve is alot rounder than the squareish fender of the later 28-29. These AR or 'after remodel' is built in 27. I'm not a guru of this and maybe someone else is more clued in than i am.
My rpu also has the left hand e brake, which is functioal on mine. The top bows are fixed and does not fold down. You have to take it off as a unit and leave it at home if you want to go topless. I'm not sure if that is a AR feature or not but i've never seen another even on concours restorations. Original steering wheel would have been red also. It originaly had a single drum tailite under the lt rear box i believe. There may be more features i'm not aware of. As far as i know there was approx 225 Ar's built but don't quote me on that.
Oh i got it for free back in 75.

Here's some local variety. Last one is a rare real steel roadster utility with centrifugal supercharged S/V. Blue RPU is a 28 Chev.

  29. Well, since this thread has resurfaced, here is a pic of my early 28 (AR) RPU.Got it well over a year ago and haven't done anything to it but drive it around a farm so far. But its next in line.
